Greetings From Glashuette – Part 1

A highlight of any trip to Germany is a visit to the German watchmaking hub of Galshuette. Each time we are amazed at how much knowledge and business is centred in this pretty little Saxon village, nestled in a valley about 30km south of Dresden. The town contains only a handful of shops and services, one restaurant and the rest of the area is either watch brands such as A Lang & Sohn, Moritz Grossmann, Original Glashuette, Nomos, Tutima, Muehle-Glashuette etc and suppliers to the industry like watch case manufacturer SUG and Wempe's Famous Observatory and chronometer certification facility used for German chronometer certification.
