Powering the DC96 Blue is Damasko’s own in-house calibre C51-6, a high-performance movement featuring a silicon escape wheel for enhanced precision and reliability. With a 50-hour power reserve, central chronograph seconds and minutes, 12-hour counter, 24-hour indicator, and a rapid-set date display, the DC96 is equipped for both timing accuracy and daily convenience. The movement’s skeletonised rotor and intricate finishing can be viewed through the sapphire crystal case back.
The hardened instrument steel case is both robust and refined, with alternating polished and bead-blasted surfaces that reflect Damasko’s signature balance between function and form. The case construction follows military standard MIL-STD-810, ensuring reliability under pressure, low pressure, and acceleration. The patented EPS spiral, crafted from polycrystalline silicone, addresses key limitations of traditional steel hairsprings – including material asymmetry, sensitivity to environmental forces, and degradation over time.
