Damasko DC57
With a design rooted in mechanical tradition, the Damasko DC57 offers a contemporary take on a true classic. This 40mm chronograph features the proven Valjoux 7750 movement with a silicon escape wheel and the signature tri-compax layout. Its unique full-lume dial adds superior legibility, setting it apart within the DC5X series.
The DC57 is part of Damasko’s DC5X series—compact, purpose-driven chronographs powered by the highly regarded Swiss Valjoux 7750. This model retains the traditional 12-hour, 30-minute, and central 60-second counters while adding modern performance enhancements including silicon technology and a fully luminous dial surface.
The case is machined from DAMASKO’s proprietary ice-hardened nickel-free stainless steel, delivering exceptional corrosion resistance and a hardness of up to 64 HRC / 800 Vickers—four times stronger than conventional stainless steel. The case, bezel, crown, and pushers are all made from this material, ensuring lasting durability.
The Élaboré-grade Valjoux 7750 movement is regulated and tested to Damasko’s strict standards. It is shockproof to DIN 8308 and delivers a 48-hour power reserve. A silicon escape wheel is included as standard, with an optional silicon hairspring available by request.
The case features triple-sealed Viton gaskets, a screw-down case back, and water resistance of 10 bar (100 metres). The curved lugs ensure comfort on all wrist types, and the flat sapphire crystal has anti-reflective treatment for maximum visibility.
A standout feature of the DC57 is its dial, fully coated in luminous Luminova C1 Grade X1 white paint. Matte black sword hands, indices, and a subtle triangle at 12 o’clock provide sharp contrast for effortless readability. The offset day/date display is colour-matched to blend into the dial while remaining legible.
The crown and pushers use the patented DAMASKO system, which allows underwater operation. When screwed down, the setting stem is disengaged to protect the movement from shocks and pressure. The crown and pusher shafts are lubricated via a patented cell that provides long-term reliability.
The integrated anti-magnetic cage offers protection against magnetic fields up to 80,000 A/m (100 mT), helping the DC57 maintain its accuracy in a wide range of conditions.
A black leather strap with black-white contrast stitching and a bead-blasted signed buckle is included. An optional ice-hardened stainless steel bracelet is also compatible.
