Damasko DC57 (SI Upgrade)
The Damasko DC57 (SI Upgrade) offers a refined take on classic chronograph design, pairing the historic Valjoux 7750 movement with state-of-the-art silicon components and a fully luminous dial. This 40mm model stands out with its reliable mechanics, high visibility, and the durability of DAMASKO’s ice-hardened steel.
Powered by the Valjoux 7750 movement, the DC57 features a traditional tri-compax layout with 12-hour, 30-minute, and 60-second counters, alongside day and date functionality. With the SI Upgrade, a silicon escape wheel comes standard, offering improved shock resistance, longevity, and precision. A silicon hairspring is also available as an optional enhancement.
The case is constructed from DAMASKO’s ice-hardened nickel-free stainless steel, tempered to a surface hardness of up to 64 HRC / 800 Vickers—four times harder than conventional case materials. All components, including the bezel, pushers, and screw-down crown, benefit from this advanced material.
This chronograph is protected by Viton gaskets for superior chemical resistance, and is water resistant to 10 bar (100 metres). The screw-down case back and curved lugs ensure both security and comfort, while the flat sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating ensures excellent dial readability.
The fully luminous dial surface is coated in Luminova C1 Grade X1 white for maximum glow in low light. Matte black sword-style hands, hour markers, and indices provide strong contrast. Additional fine details include a black “Si” imprint at 8 o’clock and a dedicated 60-second track at 9 o’clock. The day/date display is colour-matched and offset below the 3 o’clock axis.
The patented DAMASKO crown and pusher system enables underwater use and protects the movement by disengaging the setting stem when locked. A lubricant cell within the crown and pusher shafts ensures smooth operation over many years.
The watch includes an anti-magnetic inner cage for protection up to 80,000 A/m (100 mT), a feature rarely found in mechanical watches, particularly in this price segment.
The DC57 (SI Upgrade) is supplied with a black leather strap featuring black-white contrast stitching and a bead-blasted signed buckle. An optional ice-hardened steel bracelet is also compatible.
