Damasko DC57 Black (SI Upgrade)
The Damasko DC57 Black (SI Upgrade) brings modern watchmaking innovation into a classic chronograph platform. Featuring a fully luminous dial, upgraded silicon movement parts, and a scratch-resistant DAMEST® black-coated case, this 40mm tool watch is designed for clarity, resilience, and precision in every condition.
At its heart beats the tried and tested Valjoux 7750 movement, arranged in a tri-compax layout with 12-hour, 30-minute, and 60-second chronograph counters. The movement has been upgraded with a silicon escape wheel for enhanced durability and consistent long-term performance. A silicon hairspring is also optionally available.
The case is constructed from DAMASKO’s proprietary ice-hardened nickel-free stainless steel, which reaches a surface hardness of 64 HRC / 800 Vickers. All visible steel components are treated with DAMEST®, a patented black coating that protects against abrasions and gives the case its stealth appearance.
The dial is fully coated in Luminova C1 Grade X1 white for maximum visibility in low-light settings. Matte black sword-shaped hands and matching indices offer a high-contrast readout. A triangle at 12 o’clock, a black “Si” imprint at 8 o’clock, and a 60-second scale at 9 o’clock highlight the model’s technical upgrades. A day/date window, colour-matched and offset just below the 3 o’clock axis, maintains symmetry without compromising clarity.
A flat sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating ensures readability in all environments, while curved lugs provide comfortable fit. The case is sealed with Viton gaskets, offering chemical resistance and long-term reliability. Water resistance is rated at 10 bar (100 metres), with pressure testing certified to military standard MIL-STD-810.
The crown and pushers are screw-down, triple-sealed, and feature the patented DAMASKO system that disengages the stem when locked to prevent stress on the movement. A lubricant cell ensures years of smooth operation.
Inside, an integrated anti-magnetic cage shields the movement from fields up to 80,000 A/m (100 mT), preserving precision in environments where other mechanical watches may falter.
The DC57 Black (SI Upgrade) comes on a black leather strap with black-white contrast stitching and a bead-blasted signed buckle. A compatible ice-hardened steel bracelet is also available as an upgrade.

The patented EPS spiral, crafted from polycrystalline silicone, addresses key limitations of traditional steel hairsprings – including material asymmetry, sensitivity to environmental forces, and degradation over time.
