The Damasko DC86-2 Black – Orange is part of the elite DC8X series, a chronograph range built around Damasko’s in-house calibre C51. Designed with functionality and readability at the forefront, this chronograph takes inspiration from the historic Lemania 5100 movement and improves on its concept by introducing a patented 60-minute counter from the centre. This technical feature enables faster, clearer, and more precise measurement of elapsed time. Instead of the standard 30-minute revolution, the minute counter sweeps across the full dial diameter, providing increased legibility and usability for those who rely on accurate timing.
Crafted from Damasko’s proprietary ice-hardened, nickel-free stainless steel, the case is hardened up to 64 HRC, four times harder than conventional stainless steel. Its full construction – including bezel, crown, and pushers – benefits from this durable material and the abrasion-resistant DAMEST coating. The bi-directional bezel includes a ceramic ball-bearing system for accurate alignment and features a lasered scale filled with long-lasting paint. The luminous 12 o’clock indicator is filled with red Luminova for quick reference in low light.
This Trikompax chronograph is driven by the C51-6 movement, which includes a 24-hour indicator and small seconds, with 50 hours of power reserve. The DC86-2 features minimalist sub-dials for better clarity and a refined dial layout, with the date window neatly positioned at 4:30. Military certified according to NATO standard MIL-810, the watch is ready for extreme conditions. The integrated anti-magnetic cage provides resistance up to 80,000 A/m, while the screw-down crown and pushers, Viton gaskets, and sapphire crystal ensure water resistance to 100 metres.
