The Damasko DC57 Black (SI Upgrade + SI Dial) is the ultimate evolution of the brand’s compact chronograph platform. Combining the rugged performance of an ice-hardened case with a luminous dial and silicon-enhanced movement, this 40mm model is engineered for extreme durability, visibility, and mechanical precision.
It houses the legendary Valjoux 7750 movement, now upgraded with a silicon escape wheel and optionally available with a silicon hairspring. The traditional tri-compax layout provides a 12-hour counter, 30-minute counter, and central 60-second register, as well as day and date indications.
The case is milled from DAMASKO’s patented nickel-free, ice-hardened stainless steel and coated with DAMEST® black—a hardened, scratch-resistant surface treatment developed in-house. Tempered to 64 HRC / 800 Vickers, this case is exceptionally robust and corrosion resistant.
The entire dial is coated with Luminova C1 white for full-lume visibility. Contrasting matte black sword hands, indices, and a triangle at 12 o’clock deliver sharp legibility. Unique to this variant, the SI dial features a black “Si” imprint at 8 o’clock and a dedicated 60-second tracking ring at 9 o’clock. A discreet day/date window is offset below the 3 o’clock position and colour-matched for subtle integration.
Protected by a scratch-resistant flat sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, the watch is also water-resistant to 10 bar (100 metres) and pressure-tested to military specifications. Viton gaskets offer superior sealing and chemical resistance.
The DAMASKO crown and pusher system includes triple-sealing, a disengaging setting stem, and an internal lubrication cell to maintain years of smooth function. All components are screw-down, and fully operational under water.
A built-in anti-magnetic cage protects the movement from magnetic interference up to 80,000 A/m (100 mT), enhancing the reliability of the movement in high-impact or magnetic environments.
The DC57 Black (SI Upgrade + SI Dial) is delivered with a black leather strap with black-white double stitching and a bead-blasted signed buckle. A matching ice-hardened stainless steel bracelet is optionally available.

The patented EPS spiral, crafted from polycrystalline silicone, addresses key limitations of traditional steel hairsprings – including material asymmetry, sensitivity to environmental forces, and degradation over time.
