Crafted from Damasko’s signature ice-hardened stainless steel and tested to NATO military standard MIL-STD-810, the DC82 delivers unmatched resistance to wear, shock, and magnetism. The patented EPS spiral, crafted from polycrystalline silicone, addresses key limitations of traditional steel hairsprings – including material asymmetry, sensitivity to environmental forces, and degradation over time. Silicone’s inherent properties make the EPS spiral non-magnetic, highly elastic, and significantly lighter, reducing centrifugal effects during impact and maintaining stable oscillation even in extreme conditions.
