Damasko DC80 – White
The Damasko DC80 – White continues the brand’s commitment to precision, durability and design innovation. As part of the DC8X series, this model takes inspiration from the legendary Lemania 5100 movement, focusing on improving chronograph readability and operational clarity. With a central, springing 60-minute counter and full-dial scale, elapsed time is measured more accurately, clearly and efficiently than standard 30-minute chronographs.
The hardened, bead-blasted case is made from Damasko’s patented ice-hardened nickel-free stainless steel, which reaches a hardness rating of 64 HRC/800 Vickers – around four times harder than conventional case materials. The hardened bezel, rotatable in both directions, is equipped with a ceramic ball-bearing system and features a laser-engraved countdown scale filled with wear-resistant multi-component paint. A red Luminova bilight at 12 o’clock adds further clarity in low light.
Under the dial beats the Damasko C51-1 in-house chronograph movement with a 50-hour power reserve. Hand-regulated to TOP performance in five positions, it is both shock-resistant and anti-magnetic. The integrated anti-magnetic cage provides protection up to 80,000 A/m or 100 mT – a rare and sought-after technical feature in mechanical watches.
The matte dial is clean and instrumental, with legible white indexes and hands coated in Superluminova X1 GL C1. A date window, discreetly placed at 4:30, is colour-matched to the dial for balanced integration. A flat sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating and curved lugs ensure both robustness and comfort.
