Damasko DC80-2 – Orange
The Damasko DC80-2 – Orange continues the DC8X series’ reputation for precision engineering and clean instrumental design. Inspired by the legendary Lemania 5100 movement, this chronograph takes readability and performance to a new level with its innovative centre-mounted 60-minute counter. The bold orange dial variant adds a dynamic, modern character to an otherwise utilitarian design, making it both highly legible and visually striking.
The DC80-2 is housed in a bead-blasted case made from Damasko’s patented ice-hardened nickel-free stainless steel. Known for its remarkable hardness and resistance to wear, this case construction offers a robust platform for everyday reliability. In addition, the entire case, bezel, crown, and pushers are built to withstand harsh conditions and feature magnetic field protection with a magnetic field cage shielding the movement.
At its core, the watch features Damasko’s in-house calibre C51-1 chronograph movement. Offering a 50-hour power reserve and adjusted for top performance in five positions, this movement ensures precision and consistency. The matte aviator-style dial, treated with Superluminova X1 GL C1, is kept clean and legible with minimal interference. The trapezoid-shaped index at 12 o’clock and colour-matched date display at 4:30 reflect the brand’s attention to functional detail.
The bidirectional rotating bezel includes a hardened insert treated with DAMEST coating for added durability and is filled with white multi-component paint to avoid wear over time. A luminous red marker at 12 o’clock ensures quick orientation even in the dark.
This model is NATO Military certified (Mil.810) and comes with a variety of strap options, including a comfortable black leather strap with contrasting stitching and a signed bead-blasted buckle. The DC80-2 – Orange delivers the ruggedness of a field tool watch with the character and finishing of a high-end chronograph.
