Damasko DC58 (SI Upgrade)
The Damasko DC58 (SI Upgrade) brings refined tool-watch functionality to the classic chronograph form. Featuring a matte black dial, subtle blue highlights, and the high-performance Valjoux 7750 movement upgraded with a silicon escape wheel, this 40mm chronograph delivers understated strength and long-term reliability.
Its tri-compax layout stays true to the traditional arrangement of the Valjoux 7750, a movement celebrated for its precision since 1973. Damasko enhances this calibre with a silicon escape wheel as standard, and the option of a silicon hairspring for greater resilience to magnetism and wear.
The DC58 is housed in Damasko’s patented ice-hardened, nickel-free stainless steel case, boasting a hardness of 64 HRC (800 Vickers) – four times tougher than conventional stainless steel. The case, bezel, crown, and pushers are all made from this advanced alloy, with the option of an abrasion-resistant DAMEST black coating.
The matte black dial includes luminous hour markers and a triangle at 12 o’clock, paired with white minute indexes and a blue-accented chronograph hand. A “Si” imprint at 8 o’clock and 60-second sub-dial circle at 9 o’clock reflect the watch’s silicon-enhanced internals.
Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating ensures high legibility in all lighting conditions. The case is sealed with Viton gaskets for advanced chemical resistance and is water resistant to 10 bar. Like all Damasko tool watches, the DC58 is tested for reliability to MIL-STD-810 standards, including low pressure and acceleration shock.
The crown and pushers use Damasko’s patented triple-sealed screw-down system with a disengaged stem in the locked position to protect against damage. Inside, an anti-magnetic cage shields the movement from magnetic interference up to 80,000 A/m (100 mT).
Each watch is delivered on a black leather strap with blue-white or black-white double stitching, and a signed bead-blasted buckle. A steel bracelet in ice-hardened stainless steel is also available.
