Damasko DF10 – Old Radium
The Damasko DF10 Old Radium is a minimalist, restrained, and highly detailed mechanical watch that draws its design inspiration from historical military timepieces. Its dial layout uses clean scales, clear numerals, and carefully positioned markers to create a watch that feels purposeful, balanced, and easy to read at a glance.
The Old Radium styling gives the DF10 a warm vintage character, but Damasko applies it with a precise and modern approach. The appliqués are filled with Old Radium luminous material, while the triangular minute markers are mounted on a separate contrast ring. This structure helps make the reading of minutes and seconds especially clear, giving the watch a practical instrument-like quality.
At the centre of the design is a dial that combines simplicity with layered detail. The applied silver scale ring from 5 to 60 adds depth and definition, while the polished silver hour, minute, and seconds hands provide a refined contrast against the dial. The hour and minute hands, along with the tip of the seconds hand, are coated with highly luminous Old Radium X1C1 material for strong low-light visibility.
The case is made from German submarine steel and has been hardened, surface-hardened, and bead-blasted for a robust matte finish. Damasko also hardens the case back, crown, and pushers, giving the watch the durability and technical strength associated with the brand. The screwed-down caseback and bezel further support the watch’s solid construction, while the push-in crown keeps the profile clean and practical.
Inside the DF10 Old Radium is the Damasko manufacture calibre A26-1, available in Elaboré or TOP execution. This movement features a silicon escape wheel and provides a 42-hour power reserve. Its time-only display includes hours, minutes, and central seconds, staying true to the watch’s focused and uncluttered design.
With a 39mm diameter, 9.95mm overall height, 48mm lug-to-lug length, and 56g case weight without strap, the DF10 Old Radium is designed for comfortable everyday wear. The double-domed sapphire crystal, anti-reflective on one side, adds visual depth while supporting readability.
