Damasko DC86 – Orange
The Damasko DC86 – Orange represents a technical leap in mechanical chronographs, built around the brand’s in-house calibre C51-6. Developed as part of the DC8X series, this line draws inspiration from the renowned Lemania 5100 movement and aims to improve the readability and accuracy of chronograph functions. At the heart of the watch is a patented central 60-minute counter, allowing precise time tracking with a single sweep around the dial—an innovation that outperforms the traditional 30-minute counters found in many chronographs.
The DC86 – Orange is housed in Damasko’s proprietary ice-hardened nickel-free stainless steel, a material four times harder than industry-standard watch steel, ensuring exceptional scratch resistance and durability. The bead-blasted finish and hardened bi-directional bezel with DAMEST coating deliver further robustness. The sapphire crystal is double domed with internal anti-reflective treatment for legibility in all light conditions.
The matte dial features high-contrast orange accents and Superluminova X1 GL C1-coated hands and markers, offering clear readability day or night. A date window at 4:30 is colour-matched to the dial for seamless integration, while additional functions include small seconds, 24-hour indicator, and a three-register chronograph layout.
All components are sealed using Viton gaskets for enhanced chemical resistance, with water resistance rated to 10 bar. The crown and pushers are part of the patented DAMASKO system, triple-sealed and disengaged when screwed down to prevent wear and tear. An integrated anti-magnetic cage protects the movement to 80,000 A/m (100 mT), ensuring accuracy under extreme conditions.

The patented EPS spiral, crafted from polycrystalline silicone, addresses key limitations of traditional steel hairsprings – including material asymmetry, sensitivity to environmental forces, and degradation over time. Silicone’s inherent properties make the EPS spiral non-magnetic, highly elastic, and significantly lighter, reducing centrifugal effects during impact and maintaining stable oscillation even in extreme conditions.
