Armin Strom Orbit Ice Blue

Description

Armin Strom Orbit Ice Blue

The Armin Strom Orbit Ice Blue is a striking addition to the independent brand’s acclaimed System 78 collection, pairing advanced mechanics with an effortlessly refined aesthetic. Its fumé dial transitions from a serene ice blue at the centre to a deep black edge, drawing the eye across the openworked details and hand-finished components that are the hallmark of Armin Strom’s craft.

At its heart is the Manufacture Caliber ASS20, the world’s first movement to present a date display on a ceramic bezel that activates only when required. A pusher at 10 o’clock brings the date hand to life, advancing automatically each day until deactivated with a second press. This innovative complication is made possible by a column-wheel mechanism and is supported by the brand’s patented Equal Force Barrel, ensuring constant energy and a 72-hour power reserve.

Every surface of the Orbit Ice Blue is meticulously hand-finished at the Armin Strom Manufacture, with anglage, perlage, and circular graining clearly visible beneath an anti‑reflective sapphire crystal. The off‑centre dial on the left is complemented by three prominent bridges on the right, while rhodium-coated hands with Super‑LumiNova® filling provide excellent legibility. Limited to just 20 pieces, the watch is housed in a stainless steel case with a fixed ceramic bezel and matched with a robust stainless steel bracelet.
