Sinn have made sophisticated refinements to the models in their 356 series, which are designated by the suffix Sa.
The tastefully dimensioned case with a diameter of 38.5 mm has a fine satinized finish and gives an impression of high-quality, elegant functionality. Connoisseurs will immediately notice another subtle detail: the high-domed sapphire crystal glass used in the series has the same profile as the acrylic glass in the basic model. This sophistication has its price: in a complex process, the glass must be ground out of a solid blank with a thickness of five millimeters, with five different radii of curvature. The result not only preserves the classic look of these pilot’s chronographs, but the glass is also more solid, stronger and more resistant than a simple, flat-ground alternative.
The anti-reflective coating on both sides facilitates accurate reading of the distinctively designed dial even under extreme lighting conditions. Sinn have also enhanced the back of the watch: a sapphire crystal glass back affords a fascinating view of the interior. This is intentional, as the movement has been exquisitely decorated with a tasteful finish and blued screws.
Sinn’s classical Pilot II chronograph is designed with a copper-coloured dial and retro style numerals to create an elegant and timeless aviation instrument. Its look is charming and unique, but don’t be fooled, the mechanics and technology that make up the watch are state-of-the-art.

The 356 model was initially planned as a limited edition of only 300 pieces. It was designed to be a flatter version of the 256 series and it was sold out immediately, thus ensuring that it became a fixed part of the Sinn instrument chronograph range. This classically elegant chronograph is remarkable due to its clear, aesthetic appearance. Nothing detracts from the main function of the watch: to read the time. The watches in the 356 series are elegant, stylish and individual – like the people who chose to wear them.
Perhaps one of the most elegant and classically sporty watches in the entire Sinn collection, the Flieger II features a perfectly guilloched dial, galvanised in a light copper hue affording the timepiece a traditional sense of style and elegance. The solid stainless steel case with its silky pearl-polished, sandblasted surface protects the reliable, classic Swiss Valjoux 7750 movement. The Arabic numbers add to its clarity and elegance and are offset by the large skeletonised hour, minute and second hands that have been coated with an inactive, long-luminous paint which serves to further increase legibility. This is a watch to see and be seen, and admired.
