Description

Hanhart THERMOSPHERE Limited Edition
Model reference: 775.274-3338 and 775.274-6428

The Hanhart THERMOSPHERE Limited Edition is a highly purposeful tool watch inspired by the intense and time-critical world of firefighting breathing apparatus operations. Limited to just 112 pieces, this special edition was developed in collaboration with the Baden-Württemberg State Firefighters Association and translates key operational time markers directly onto the bezel. The result is a watch with a genuine functional concept, a strong service-linked identity, and the unmistakable durability expected from Hanhart.

Based on the architecture of the Hanhart AQUASPHERE, the THERMOSPHERE adapts the robust dive watch platform for a very different environment. Where the AQUASPHERE is designed to provide orientation underwater, the THERMOSPHERE draws its purpose from missions defined by heat, smoke, physical strain, and restricted visibility. Its name references the Ancient Greek word thermós, meaning “heat”, a fitting link to the demanding conditions faced by firefighters during active operations.

The defining feature of the THERMOSPHERE is its functional rotating bezel. Distinctive triangular luminous markers reflect the time checkpoints used in breathing apparatus monitoring, allowing the wearer to quickly track operational time at a glance. When an operation begins, the solid triangle on the bezel is aligned with the minute hand. From there, the wearer can monitor key stages of the deployment, including the typical 30-minute duration of a single-cylinder configuration or the 60-minute duration associated with twin-cylinder use.

Legibility is central to the watch’s design. The dark blue dial is supported by bold Super-LumiNova® coated hands, numerals, dial markers, and bezel markings, ensuring clarity in low light and complete darkness. The highlighted minute hand provides rapid time orientation, while the yellow, blue, and red accents draw directly from the visual language of the fire service. At 12 o’clock, the “112” emergency number is subtly referenced, with the first “1” visually separated to strengthen the connection to European fire and rescue services.

The Baden-Württemberg Firefighters Association emblem appears on both the dial and case back, giving the watch a clear connection to its source of inspiration. The limited edition number is engraved on the screwed titanium case back, reinforcing the exclusivity of the model. At 42 mm, with a 12.95 mm case height and a 49 mm lug-to-lug measurement, the THERMOSPHERE offers a substantial yet balanced presence on the wrist.

Built for practical use, the THERMOSPHERE is available on Hanhart’s Hook-Strap textile strap or stainless steel bracelet. The Hook-Strap’s elastic construction allows for fast adjustment and can be worn comfortably over protective clothing, making it especially relevant to the watch’s operational theme. A convex anti-reflective sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel inlay, 30 bar water resistance, and Hanhart’s regulated automatic movement complete a watch made not simply to show the time, but to measure it with purpose.
