Description
Tutima Patria Titanium Black 6612-21
The Tutima Patria Titanium Black 6612-21 embodies the discipline of intentional reduction. As the first two-hand variant within the Patria manufacture line, it reflects a conscious decision to focus solely on the essentials. By omitting both the seconds display and the minute track, the dial is distilled to its purest form, allowing contour, proportion and surface to take precedence over decoration.
The deep black lacquered dial creates a striking yet restrained presence. Against this dark canvas, applied diamond-cut hour markers and in-house crafted, manually polished stainless-steel hands stand out in crisp contrast. The absence of additional markings enhances legibility while reinforcing the watch’s architectural clarity. Every element is positioned with precision, underscoring the Patria’s commitment to balanced design.
The 41 mm case is crafted from highly polished Grade 5 titanium, a material chosen for its exceptional strength, lightness and skin-friendly properties. Its refined proportions and ergonomic lugs ensure comfortable wear, while the polished surfaces reflect light with subtle elegance. The restrained dial and contemporary titanium case together create a sophisticated interplay between minimalism and material excellence.
Purity continues within. The Patria Titanium Black is powered by the hand-wound manufacture Calibre Tutima 617, representing the most elemental form of mechanical watchmaking. Through the sapphire crystal caseback, the movement’s traditional Glashütte finishing becomes fully visible. A three-quarter plate adorned with Glashütte ribbing spans much of the calibre, complemented by hand-bevelled edges and ruby bearings set in screwed gold chatons.
The open-worked balance cock offers a clear view of the in-house free-sprung oscillation system. A hand-bent Breguet overcoil, four regulating screws and weight screws on the balance ensure precision and stability at 21,600 vibrations per hour. Ratchet and crown wheels feature a refined sunburst finish, while a recoiling click highlights the mechanical integrity of the winding mechanism. When fully wound, the movement delivers a power reserve of at least 65 hours.
Completing the monochromatic aesthetic is a black alligator leather strap with beige lining. Finely crafted and secured by a titanium pin buckle, it reinforces the watch’s understated character while ensuring comfort and durability. The Tutima Patria Titanium Black 6612-21 stands as a testament to refined minimalism, where deliberate reduction reveals true sophistication.
