The process behind this luminous innovation is as impressive as the result. Using a proprietary casting method, luminous paint is embedded into a mould to create a hybrid ceramic component, which is then joined to the metallic base dial. The final product is printed with precision, resulting in a surface that emits an extraordinary brightness thanks to the density and coverage of the luminous material. The bezel’s key marker is also fully lumed, ensuring legibility in the deepest, darkest waters.
True to Sinn’s reputation for technical mastery, the U1 S L’s case and crown are crafted from high-strength German Submarine Steel, known for its extreme resistance to seawater corrosion and non-magnetic properties. The case is coated with Sinn’s Black Hard Coating on a TEGIMENT Technology base, providing exceptional scratch resistance and a sleek, stealth aesthetic. Its captive diver’s bezel, with minute ratcheting, ensures security and precision under any conditions.

The U1 S L has been pressure tested to an incredible 1,000 metres (100 bar) and certified by an independent institute according to European diving equipment standards (EN 250 / EN 14143).
