Description
Sinn 903 St II G
Model: 903.093
The Sinn 903 St II G introduces a striking green electroplated dial with sunburst decoration to one of the most technically respected navigation chronographs in contemporary watchmaking. While its mechanical architecture remains rooted in proven engineering, the green dial variation brings a new expressive depth to the 903 lineage, reinforcing the model’s balance between instrument precision and refined design.
The defining feature of the 903 series remains its fully functional slide-rule bezel with logarithmic scale. Designed for practical calculation of time, distance, fuel consumption and currency conversions, it transforms the watch into a mechanical computation tool. The green dial enhances legibility while adding a subtle visual dynamism, shifting in tone depending on light conditions, from deep forest green to radiant metallic hues.
The tricompax layout, with galvanically silver-plated sub-dials, maintains the classic navigation chronograph configuration. Applied indices and the numeral 12 are crafted from hybrid ceramic luminous elements and meticulously attached by hand. Combined with luminous-coated hour and minute hands, the dial ensures clarity and precision even in low-light environments.
Engineering excellence is further demonstrated in the directly operable rotating bezel. Thanks to Sinn’s proprietary DSP Technology, dynamic sealing enables water resistance up to 20 bar while allowing smooth bezel rotation from the outer diameter. Achieving this level of water resistance in a slide-rule chronograph reflects decades of accumulated technical expertise in case construction and sealing systems.
At the heart of the 903 St II G beats the LJP L110 self-winding column-wheel chronograph movement. Operating at 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour and offering a power reserve of at least 60 hours, it delivers consistent precision and crisp chronograph actuation. The exquisitely decorated movement can be admired through the transparent sapphire crystal case back.
The stainless steel case, satinised and polished, measures 41.00 mm in diameter and 14.5 mm in thickness, striking a confident yet wearable presence. Anti-magnetic protection in accordance with DIN 8309, low pressure resistance and compliance with DIN 8310 water resistance standards further affirm its identity as a professional instrument watch designed for demanding conditions.
