The 29er takes its name from a dynamic regatta skiff, a tribute that remains evident in the design of the 29er Big Small Second Blue. In this blue dial variant, the dial is rendered in a deep, sea-like blue, with the flange and the small second display presented in an even darker blue to add a sophisticated contrast.
When the 29er skiffs launch, their sails cut through the air at 20 knots in a close-cut race around the buoy. On the dial of this model, the 6 o’clock index symbolizes the optimal course to the buoy, aligned with a start in pole position. While the regatta skiffs are celebrated for their speed, Mühle-Glashütte prioritizes precision by removing excess velocity, ensuring every moment is measured with accuracy.
First introduced in 2006 and inspired by a small regatta skiff used by young sailing talents, the 29er has become synonymous with sporty sophistication. The blue dial version stands out with its unique colour palette, accentuating the watch’s modern twist on the classic second display—a feature initially introduced in Edition 1994 during Mühle’s anniversary year.
The robust 42.4-millimetre case is crafted from high-quality stainless steel with a variety of surface finishes that reflect light like the play of sunlight on ocean waves. The case, with its brushed and polished elements, houses the SW 261-1 automatic movement, complete with a shockproof woodpecker neck regulation and an efficient Mühle rotor. With a pressure resistance of up to 10 bars, the watch is designed to safeguard precision in any situation.
