The Moritz Grossmann Tourbillon Tremblage Salmon represents the pinnacle of hand-finished artistry from the Glashütte manufactory. This exquisite limited edition of eight pieces unites the revered tourbillon complication with the historic tremblage engraving technique, rendered here in a striking salmon-rose tone that balances tradition with contemporary design. Every element reflects the dedication, precision and patience that define Moritz Grossmann’s approach to German watchmaking.
The warm rosé dial tone immediately draws the eye, while white-printed Arabic numerals and refined steel hands create harmony and clarity. Each dial section is crafted from solid silver and engraved by hand using the centuries-old tremblage technique. The engraver’s trembling movement across the metal produces an exceptionally even, matt texture that diffuses light softly across the surface. The result is a uniquely tactile aesthetic that elevates the tourbillon aperture at six o’clock to centre-stage prominence.
The three-minute tourbillon itself is an achievement of balance and elegance. Suspended within a cage measuring 16 mm, it rotates once every three minutes—an homage to Alfred Helwig’s flying tourbillon design. The generous opening and V-shaped balance bridge provide an unobstructed view of the mechanism, revealing the intricate choreography of gears, escapement and balance. Off-centre hour and seconds sub-dials at three and nine o’clock complement the layout, ensuring technical sophistication is matched by perfect visual equilibrium.
Behind the artistry lies the hand-wound calibre 103.0, developed and finished entirely in-house. Comprising 245 parts, the movement showcases the manufactory’s hallmarks: hand-engraved plates, Glashütte ribbing, three-band snailing, and jewels set in gold chatons. Even the screws are individually polished. The calibre’s stop-seconds mechanism within the tourbillon exemplifies Grossmann’s innovative spirit, allowing precise time setting without compromising the beauty of traditional construction.
Encased in 18 ct white gold with sapphire crystal front and display back, the Tourbillon Tremblage Salmon offers a refined presence at 44.5 mm, made comfortable by its sculpted lugs and luxurious black alligator strap with matching white-gold folding clasp. Limited to just eight pieces worldwide, this masterpiece embodies the spirit of modern Glashütte—where mechanical heritage and contemporary artistry meet in perfect harmony.
