MeisterSinger Primatic – Ivory (PR903)
The Primatic boasts the perfect balance typical of MeisterSinger. The large needle hand with an overhang shows the time as usual on the fine 5-minute scale. A smaller version of this hand is assigned to the fascinating little scale of the power reserve display. Like a vehicle fuel gauge, it shows how full the “tank” is at any time. When the hand reaches the left side of the scale, it’s time to give the movement a little helping hand by turning the crown back and forth. But this isn’t necessary when the watch is worn every day. As you can always see that the watch is working diligently, you can relax and let go.
Designed in a classic ivory hue, the Primatic features black contrasts, while cognac-colored markers at the half-hours provide some subtle highlights. The outer ring of the dial gives its face a certain depth and a particularly elegant character. The typical MeisterSinger circular date window is located adjacent to 3 o’clock, while its bezel is silver-plated and highly polished. The appealing scale of the power reserve indicator is located in the lower half of the dial.
With a diameter of 41.5 mm, the Primatic presents a case size that is new to MeisterSinger. The stainless steel case is water-resistant up to 5 bar and fitted with a domed sapphire glass over the dial. The movement can be easily viewed through the sixfold screwed glass exhibition back as it performs its high-precision task.
The Swiss Sellita SW270 automatic movement, which is specially modified for MeisterSinger’s single-hand watches, quietly ticks inside the Primatic. The date display can be conveniently set via its quick-switch function. The rotor provides the watch with a power reserve of 38 hours. The power reserve display tells the wearer when the watch needs to be rewound.
Letting go and trusting time is really easy with the Primatic, which always shows you its power reserve. Its 41.5 mm case diameter gives the Primatic a dynamic appearance – but it still looks good on any wrist. The Primatic was bestowed with the prestigious iF Design Award for its overall design concept.
