Description
MeisterSinger Panthero Jumping Hour – Sunburst Blue
The MeisterSinger Panthero Jumping Hour – Sunburst Blue introduces a striking new interpretation of time display, pairing the brand’s characteristic single-hand philosophy with a sophisticated jumping-hour complication. Reference PTJH917 combines technical ingenuity with an unusually architectural dial, establishing the Panthero as a new flagship within the MeisterSinger collection.
The blue dial features a beautifully executed sunburst finish with an unconventional focal point. Rather than radiating from the centre of the dial, the sunburst originates precisely from the elevated position of the minute hand. Light therefore spreads outward from the same point as the display itself, allowing the surface treatment to reinforce the geometry of the watch rather than simply decorate it. A silver-toned minute track, minute hand and sun wheel create a clean, harmonious contrast against the rich blue background.
Time is presented through the Panthero’s distinctive jumping-hour arrangement. Instead of relying on conventional centrally mounted hour and minute hands, the hour is displayed independently while the elevated minute hand sweeps across its dedicated scale. This separation gives the dial an immediately recognisable identity while remaining true to MeisterSinger’s philosophy of encouraging a calmer, more deliberate relationship with time.
The dial is framed by a newly developed 40.5 mm stainless steel case. Its exceptionally narrow bezel allows the dial architecture to dominate when viewed from the front, while the case flanks reveal a more intricate combination of polished and brushed surfaces. An exclusive spiral-shaped crown adds another individual detail to the design. A domed sapphire crystal protects the dial, while water resistance is rated to 5 bar.
Inside is the specially developed MeisterSinger MS-JH-01 calibre, based on the Sellita SW300 and equipped with a dedicated jumping-hour module. The mechanical architecture can be viewed through the exhibition caseback, including a distinctive rotor whose outline draws inspiration from three interlocking fermatas. Anthracite detailing on the logo and central rotor ring further distinguishes the movement, which provides a power reserve of approximately 47 hours.
More than simply another complication added to an existing design, the Panthero Jumping Hour represents a new visual and mechanical direction for MeisterSinger. From its purpose-built display and off-centre sunburst dial to its new case architecture and specially developed movement, the PTJH917 has been conceived as a complete design in its own right. The Sunburst Blue version brings particular depth to that concept, allowing changing light to continually redraw the geometry of the dial.
