Description
MeisterSinger Pangaea Day Date – Steel blue with gold (PDD917G)
Enjoy the days in peace and quiet.
In addition to the familiar MeisterSinger signature colours, ivory and sunburst blue, the watch manufacturer is now adding a third variant in an elegant steel blue with golden highlights.
With its sleek, seemingly flowing case and a diameter of 40 millimetres, the Pangaea Day Date is one of the most elegant timepieces in the MeisterSinger collection. Despite the complex mechanical inner workings, its stainless steel case is only 10.5 millimeters high.
The Sellita SW220 automatic Swiss movement that powers the Pangaea Day Date reliably switches the day and date display exactly at midnight. It is fascinating to observe how the opposing rings rearrange themselves to form a new date in a flash – and perhaps it’s a shame that this always happens at night. The movement can be easily viewed through the sixfold screwed glass exhibition back as it performs its high-precision task.
The positioning is unusual, the way it is presented unique: While other watches cram the day and date into tiny windows, the two concentric rings of the Pangaea Day Date are open on the dial, giving the owner not only an overview of the current day, but also those in the past and the future. In true MeisterSinger style, the wearer sees the passing of time in a broader context.
