Description
Lang & Heyne Friedrich II Steel
Margrave Friedrich II accepted his regal inheritance at the tender age of 13. Despite years of war and adversity he managed to consolidate the economic and political power of Saxony during his reign in the first half of the 14th century. For his achievements and contribution to society he was knighted at the age of 29 and went on to live an upright and disciplined lifestyle dedicated to his realm and his people.
Reflecting the piety of its namesake, the Friedrich II timepiece is reduced to the essentials. The double-sunk dial is made of pristine, bright white lacquer and the chamfers are diamond-polished and rhodium-plated for finesse. The concentric Art Deco-style Arabic numerals and oversized and, in addition to the eccentric small second, give Friedrich II a fresh, uncomplicated aesthetic. Because the movement is inserted into the case from the front side, it is possible to adopt a larger dial, further enhancing the openness of this exquisite model.
Each piece has its own appeal and is very much driven by the style preferences of its wearer.
The polished stainless steel case on this timepiece perfectly combines robust, contemporary materials with a classic design offset by beautiful, flame-blued hands, to deliver a fresh look for a true connoisseur of haute horology.
