The Kudoke 3 Ice Blue continues the quiet evolution of Stefan Kudoke’s celebrated HANDwerk collection, presenting an unconventional yet highly considered approach to time display. Following the success of the Kudoke 1 and Kudoke 2, this third model refines the brand’s distinctive design language with a structured, multi-level hour indication that is both functional and captivating. Inspired by antique English pocket watches, the Kudoke 3 reinterprets classical cues through a contemporary and graphic lens, resulting in a timepiece that feels both rooted in tradition and refreshingly modern.
At first glance, the Ice Blue variant introduces a cool, airy aesthetic to the established Kudoke 3 format. The familiar 39mm by 10.3mm fully polished stainless steel case retains its stepped bezel, short lugs and prominent onion crown engraved with the signature “K”. Sapphire crystals front and back provide an unobstructed view of both dial and movement, while 50 metres of water resistance ensures it remains an elegant yet practical companion for daily wear. For collectors seeking a warmer interpretation, a 5N rose gold case is available by special order.
The dial architecture is where the Kudoke 3 truly distinguishes itself. The lower level features a frosted silvered base and a rhodinised three-sector hour plate, while the upper level introduces a soft frosted sky blue surface framed by a rhodium-plated chapter ring. Time is indicated by a distinctive three-arm hour hand, each arm of varying length taking over the display in four-hour intervals. At transitional moments such as 2, 6 and 10 o’clock, two arms may be visible at once, reinforcing the layered and mechanical character of the display.
Minutes are read via a heat-blued steel hand tipped with Kudoke’s signature infinity symbol, echoed at the 60-minute marker on the chapter ring. The depth of colour achieved through flame-bluing provides strong contrast against the pastel dial tones, preserving legibility despite the playful configuration. Applied elements and meticulous finishing across both dial levels lend the watch a sense of sculptural precision and quiet sophistication.
Powering the Kudoke 3 Ice Blue is the in-house Kaliber 1, developed in collaboration with Habring² and constructed within Kudoke’s own workshop. This hand-wound movement operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and delivers a 46-hour power reserve. Through the sapphire caseback, collectors can admire the frosted wheel bridge, hand-engraved balance cock bearing the infinity motif, heat-blued screws and hand-polished bevels and countersinks. The movement reflects the same artisanal commitment that defines the dial-side execution.
The Kudoke 3 Ice Blue is presented on a leather or Alcantara strap with a stainless steel pin buckle as standard. Optional stainless steel folding clasps and rose gold buckle configurations are available upon request. The combination of polished steel, flame-blued hands and the cool sky blue dial creates a crisp and contemporary aesthetic, offering individuality without excess and character without compromise.
