Erwin Sattler Vitrea
AN OBJECT OF TIME – THE NEW VITREA FROM ERWIN SATTLER. GLASS MEETS MECHANICS, MEETS DESIGN
Highlights at a glance:
- 15-day power reserve
- 360º view of the movement
- Fully skeletonised movement
- Limited to 58 pieces
An object of time – the new Vitrea from the Erwin Sattler manufactory combines modern design with horological excellence.
The mouth-blown glass dome, which protects the sophisticated inner mechanism, gives the table clock its name and provides an uninterrupted view of the movement from nearly all angles. Inside, the minimalist black anodised dial rings with domed hands appear to float in space, lending the entire composition an elegant sense of lightness.
At the heart of the Vitrea is a completely skeletonised movement with fusee and steel cable, a 15-day power reserve, and a Swiss escapement with screw balance. The passing strike with bell adds an acoustic charm to match the visual presence. An inlaid mirror in the base plate reflects the gold-plated gears through a rear viewing aperture, creating an optical depth that enhances the overall aesthetic.
This time object is both a mechanical marvel and a modern sculpture, ideally suited for those who appreciate refined craftsmanship and open design. With only 58 pieces available worldwide, the Vitrea is a bold statement of precision and sophistication.
