Description
Hanhart Preventor HD12 Silk Purple – MB/LB set
Model: 792L.874-6429
Since its debut in 2024, the Hanhart Preventor HD12 has earned its place as a robust, reliable and stylish everyday companion. With the introduction of the Silk Purple edition, Hanhart has created a watch that blends the toughness of HD12™ steel with the striking vibrancy of a deep, silky purple dial. Developed in partnership with ARMBANDUHREN magazine, this special edition adds a bold twist to Hanhart’s design heritage.
The Silk Purple stands apart with its captivating matt dial, contrasted by crisp white Arabic numerals and Super-LumiNova® C1 luminous coating. The lume ensures superb legibility in low light, with a green glow that enhances the unique character of the watch. Skeletonised hands, rooted in the design of early military pocket watches, further elevate the dial while the red-tipped central seconds hand ensures precision readability.
Limited to just 200 pieces worldwide, the Preventor HD12 Silk Purple is as rare as it is stylish. Most of the allocation is reserved for Germany, making the global release especially desirable for collectors and enthusiasts alike. Its exclusivity is matched by its durability, courtesy of Hanhart’s specially developed HD12™ steel case. The innovative hardening process diffuses carbon into the steel, producing a surface hardness of 1200 HV – more than five times harder than standard 316L stainless steel. Combined with a convex sapphire crystal, internally coated with anti-reflective treatment, this ensures the watch withstands both daily wear and adventurous pursuits.
Measuring 39 mm in diameter, 10.5 mm in height and 46 mm lug-to-lug, the case design balances elegance and strength. Brushed surfaces highlight the bezel and case sides, contrasted by polished accents, including the screw-down crown bearing the historic Hanhart “h”. Water resistance to 15 bar further enhances its versatility, making it suitable for everyday use as well as contact with water.
At its heart, the Preventor HD12 Silk Purple houses either the Sellita SW200-1 or Soprod SOP P024 automatic calibre, finely regulated to Hanhart standards. With a frequency of 28,800 A/h (4 Hz), hacking seconds and a 38-hour power reserve, this no-date movement has been deliberately kept clean and functional. The absence of a date complication preserves the symmetry of the dial and offers a nod to Hanhart’s tool-watch heritage.
Completing the watch is a robust stainless steel bracelet with transparent PVD coating for scratch resistance. The folding clasp carries the historic Hanhart logo and integrates a concealed diver’s-style extension, allowing the bracelet to be adjusted by up to one centimetre for comfort and flexibility. Each link is individually screwed, ensuring durability and ease of adjustment.
As with every Hanhart release, the Preventor HD12 Silk Purple represents the brand’s longstanding commitment to precision, reliability and clarity. It is a watch that unites technical innovation with timeless design, underscored by Hanhart’s 140-year legacy of horological excellence.
NB: Last pieces available as band set only comprising hardened metal bracelet and leather band
