The Damasko DC98 Black represents a sophisticated fusion of technical excellence and refined aesthetics. This chronograph introduces a new generation of elegant sports watches, featuring the coveted central stop-minute hand in a beautifully proportioned Trikompax layout. The black dial radiates with a refined sunburst finish, complemented by applied polished indices and hands that enhance legibility and style.
Crafted from Damasko’s patented ice-hardened stainless steel, the case exhibits an interplay of satin-finished and polished surfaces, while the polished and bead-blasted rotating bezel further elevates the timepiece’s elegance. The crown and pushers, perfectly polished and beaded, round out the meticulous finishing of the case architecture.
Inside, the DC98 is powered by the Damasko manufacture calibre C51-6 movement. This in-house chronograph calibre features a central stop-minute display, a 50-hour power reserve, and advanced elements such as a silicone escape wheel for enhanced accuracy and reduced wear. The movement is rhodium-plated and decorated with perlage and Geneva stripes, aligning mechanical performance with aesthetic finesse.
A major objective of the C51-6 was to optimise chronograph readability, inspired by the Lemania 5100. Thanks to Damasko’s patented design, the central stop-minute hand counts a full 60 minutes across the entire dial diameter – a practical and intuitive solution rarely seen in modern chronographs.
All steel components are hardened and treated for superior scratch resistance. The bi-directional bezel is equipped with Damasko’s DAMEST coating and features lasered numerals filled with white multi-component paint to ensure long-term durability. A red luminous marker at 12 o’clock enhances functionality.
The watch features a double-domed sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coating for optimal readability in all lighting. Its robust water resistance (10 bar / 100 m) and integrated magnetic field protection (80,000 A/m or 100 mT) ensure reliability in the harshest environments.
Finished with a premium nubuck leather strap and a signed bead-blasted buckle, the Damasko DC98 Black is a total work of art – equally suited to high-performance tasks and refined everyday wear.
