The Happy Second model returns in a striking new colourway, expanding its collection with the vibrant and retro-inspired Happy Second Orange. This latest version trades the classic black dial of its predecessor for a captivating gradient of warm orange transitioning to a deep dark brown at the edges – an unusual yet sophisticated palette that sets it apart in the Alexander Shorokhoff collection.
True to the brand’s avant-garde spirit, the chronograph’s central seconds hand bursts into life with a joyful dance of bright colours the moment the start/stop pusher at 2 o’clock is pressed. This playful visual element gives the watch its signature charm, inviting wearers to delight in each passing second.
The case is a refined new development for this model, measuring 42 mm in diameter and standing just 12.40 mm tall – a remarkably slim profile for a chronograph powered by the ETA 2894 movement. Rounded case edges and polished pushers lend the Happy Second Orange a modern, elegant silhouette.
Adding to its distinct personality is the innovative cylindrical sapphire crystal, which contrasts beautifully with the flat appearance of the dial and case. Combined with the seven-screw sapphire case back, this design offers both durability and clarity from every angle.
Inside beats the precise and compact ETA 2894 chronograph calibre, offering a suite of useful functions: a central chronograph seconds hand, decentralised minute display at 9 o’clock, decentralised hour display at 6 o’clock, and a date window. As with all Alexander Shorokhoff creations, the movement’s rotor is meticulously hand-engraved and finished to an exceptional standard.
The watch is completed with a supple calfskin strap, enhanced with light contrast stitching and an engraved stainless steel buckle, ensuring perfect harmony between form and comfort. Limited to just 50 pieces worldwide, the Happy Second Orange brings a fresh burst of colour and energy to the art of independent watchmaking.
