The idea behind Hektor’s design and functionality comes from 14th century music theory adopted by French and Italian composers whereby an additional ‘voice’ is integrated into and existing melody via the process known as polyphony. In this way Hector adds to Lang & Heyne’s existing symphony of timepieces in a fully integrated and complementary manner.
