The Lang & Heyne Friedrich August I collection features three case materials: massive 18ct rose gold, stainless steel, and 950 platinum. Further distinction is made by the handshape which can be either the embellished Louis XV design or a simpler spade shape.

The case design, hands, and dial are the defining features of Friedrich August I. It exudes a classic and noble aesthetic, reminiscent of fine pocket watches from the 1900s. Delicately chiseled Louis XV hands, crafted and engraved in gold, or elegantly simple pear-shaped hands, reveal their full beauty on the three-part white enamel dial. The movement showcases a classic Saxon ¾ plate, while large rubies set in gold chatons create a charming contrast against the silver-grained plate.
