Description
Tutima M2 Mara Safari Chronograph 6451-53
Protecting What is Important: With every purchase of the new Mara Safari titanium chronograph – limited to just 250 pieces – Tutima Glashütte supports the vital work of the Mara Elephant Project. This initiative protects elephants and their habitats in the renowned Serengeti/Maasai Mara ecosystem.
Built for Every Adventure – In and Out of Africa The distinctive safari green dial evokes a spirit of adventure and the outdoors. It is protected by a 2.5-mm-thick sapphire crystal, doubly antireflective, ensuring near-zero reflection. This striking green extends to the soft, durable rubber strap with a titanium buckle, making the watch not only stylish but resilient. The watch’s case, crafted from ultralight, antimagnetic, scratch- and corrosion-resistant titanium, is pressure-tested to 30 atmospheres. Its integrated large push-pieces with textured surfaces provide perfect grip for timing functions. The hands and indices, along with the luminous capsules on the rotating bezel, are treated with Super-LumiNova, ensuring clear visibility even in the dark. The chronograph Calibre T310, with its 62-hour power reserve, automatically winds itself with the wearer’s movement, ensuring precision and reliability.
Extra Function: Protecting Elephants True to its name, the Tutima M2 Mara Safari embodies protection, as “Tutima” is derived from the Latin word tutus, meaning secure and protected. Through this special edition, Tutima actively supports the Mara Elephant Project, which safeguards elephants and fosters peaceful coexistence between humans and wildlife. CEO Marc Goss and his team train rangers, monitor elephant populations, and combat poaching. Goss’s missions are accompanied by a Tutima chronograph, passed down from his late father, a ranger and pilot. Inspired by this history, Tutima dedicates a portion of the proceeds from each Mara Safari watch to support the Mara Elephant Project.
At Home While Travelling: The Mara Safari’s 46.5mm titanium case is water-resistant to 30 ATM, making it ready for any adventure. The self-winding chronograph Calibre 310 features hour, minute, and small second hands, a date display, and counters for 60 seconds, 30 minutes, and 12 hours. Its antique grey rotor features a gold seal, adding to the watch’s refined aesthetics. The watch is completed with a rubber strap and titanium pin buckle, limited to just 250 pieces worldwide.
